We begin in the coastal city of Mumbai (Bombay), where we see the 1,200-year-old Elephanta Caves with their spectacular carvings. We visit Kanha and  Bandhavgarh National Parks, India's signature wildlife areas, and look for birds and wildlife,including the country's prize sighting - the tiger.Since most animals, including tigers, have little fear of elephants, riding atop an elephant provides an ideal way to see tigers up close.
